I made a short “opening sequence” and put it on vimeo (woohoo! never done that before). Check it out & comment on it, please! By the way, only when I was in the middle of the process of keyframing it struck me that I might have been a little influenced by Pixar. Stupid indoctrination. Did not mean to copy their jumping lamp. Oh well.

My first blogging was back in 2002/2003 and I took a long break since then. I would love to contribute and I believe to have some meaningful stuff to share. Currently I’m thoroughly analysing Philips’ LivingColors as a study project. It appears there’s very little detailed information available on the web, which surprises me big time. But who am I to complain? Let me fill that gap!

Meanwhile I will post about an older (related) study project, where Marijn Molenaar and me created a working prototype “reMotion” remote control. Using gestures it enables you to control LED lighting. Just one button, a touch area and a very simple user interface. Goal was to provide both a intuitive and playful interaction. I learned about the Arduino platform during this project.

There’s lots to do and I’d better get started. Please enjoy!
